Blog IT

I journal almost everyday and I don't always use blogger.  I am going to try and keep my journals on here.  I met a gentleman named Lucas and his dog, Buddy, yesterday.  I was so stinkin' jealous of their journey I could hardly stand it.  I was working at the little store in Stewartsville this past Sunday and in the door walked a customer.  He inquired about the local weather and sat down at the tables in the store.  Why didn't he go into the store across the street?  They have tables, too!  The gentleman said he was beginning to stop trusting the weathermen, so he just asks locals what the weather is suppose to be like.  He was walking across the country with his dog.  I actually looked him over when he came to the counter to make his purchase.  I thought this guy is small and as very tan legs.  Little did I know, I would enjoy a nice conversation, sitting on the steps outside, feeding his dog left over chicken strips.  I told Buddy I wish I was walking with him.  His face looked just like my dog, Jezebel.  I haven't stopped thinking about them since they left the store.  I told them I was happy to meet them and went back into the store.  Sometime later, I looked up and they were gone.  I ran outside to the side of the building and they were nowhere to be found.  My heart sank.  I wanted to say, goodbye.  I love being outside and how cool would it be to walk the countryside.  From one side to the other.  900+ miles they will walk.  And the craziness about them, was Buddy had an accident and he lost one of his legs on the trip.  I am going to follow them because they have a blog.  They inspired me to keep my blog going and to always do the things I love to do, no matter what! Yes, I am adding "Walk across the Country, at least once" to my bucket list!  Thanks Lucas and Buddy!  Cheers to YOU!  Namaste' ac
